Migration - Download and Upload BI Publisher Report from 1 instance to another instance

BI Report Migration in Fusion Cloud Apps:

Download:
  • Connect to development instance and download the data model and report layout by using below URL of test instance.  
  • append xmlpserver to the URL of instance from which you want to downloadhttps://<url>/xmlpserver

  • Click on Catlog as shown in below screen
  • Select  Folders -> Shared Folders-> Custom-> Human Capital Management 
    Select the Data Model which you want to download and Click on Download link under Tasks as shown in below screen.

  • When you click on Download, xdo file will be downloaded to your local machine as shown in below screen. This File wll be used during upload in another instance.

  • Select  Folders -> Shared Folders-> Custom-> Human Capital Management
  • Select the layout which you want to download  and Click on Download link as shown in below screen to download report layout.

Upload:
  • Connect to UAT instance by appending /xmlpserver to URL.
  • Click on Catlog
  • Navigate to Shared Folders -> Custom -> Human Capital Management Folder
  • Select Human Capital Management and Click on Upload shown below Tasks to upload data model.

  • When you click on Upload ,select the Data Model file which you downloaded to your local machine with extension .xdmz file from your local system and click on upload button
  • Select  Folders -> Shared Folders-> Custom->  Human Capital Management to upload report layout to UAT instance.
  • Click on Upload icon under tasks -> Select the layout file which you downloaded to your local machine with extension .xdoz file and click on upload button.
